Add or Import Assets

Description

Allows for the creation and importing of assets into iQFinancials.

How to use

To manually create a new asset, enter in the following information:

• Name
• Type
• Category
• Quantity
• Owner
• Location
• Supplier
• Cost Center
• Department
• PO Number
• Purchase Date
• Purchase Price
• Support Date Expiry
• Annual Support Cost
• Local Asset ID
• Notes

Clicking on the '+' button will save the asset

To automatically import software and hardware information from iQNetScan select the options you require.

For software you can import it directly into a pre-defined category (by default the 'Software' category is used). You can also choose whether you want each install to be imported as a separate asset or as a single asset with a quantity. It is also possible to automatically assign a the installed computer as the asset owner and assign the software version as the asset type.

For hardware you can also import it directly into a pre-defined category (by default the 'Hardware' category is used). Hardware can be imported using either its name or serial number and can have its model number assigned as its asset type.

Clicking 'Import' will automatically import the iQNetScan data.
