Applied Standards
Description Standards can be applied to individual groups to create a base requirement for a group of computers.
e.g. The marketing group must have Photoshop CS2, but cannot have Sage or Paintshop Pro (the marketing standard). The accounting group must have Sage, but not Paintshop Pro or Photoshop CS2 (the accounting standard). Both groups must have Anti-Virus and Office (the default standard).
Standards are applied in order; the higher standards supersede lower standards.
How to use To apply as standard you can either go to the 'Applied Standards' screen or to the 'Target Computer Groups' screen (available on the 'Group Standards' tab). To apply a standard, select the group you wish to manage. Then using the left hand list move the required standards to the right hand list using the control arrows. The order standards can be changed by using the 'Up' and 'Down' arrows.
Clicking 'apply' will save any changes. |
